Jumped on the Rope rescue member for water people as the regular one was full, turns out they are the same! Good for me, as I then got the ability to stay dry (almost) and play with ropes! And spoiled as we are, we got Kris Wild as a instructor. This guy is just awesome, never have I seen a climbing teacher with better skills in breaking stuff down in suitable portions. He is truly a rock star! Of course I got all tripy with the pictures, so here you go!
Being out at the beach playing with static ropes, pulleys, redirects and stretchers was just amazing! I am particularly happy about the fact that its all systems I have seen before, just now on steroids. And in a big-burly scale, Making it a mean-man towing machine!
Further we spent a bunch of time rigging a variety of super strong anchors, some more intricate than others but cool all the same. Sweetest thing was that it was such a cool bunch of people out there, not all necessarily climbers or at all used to handling ropes. But judging on their somewhat sketchy background ( Larry ) I really think they all did great ! | |
Thank you guys for a sweet weekend !
And as always, beers at the adventure house !
